Lara is a Family Physician who moved from her beautiful home country of South Africa to Canada in 2013 and has called Red Deer home since 2020, and has over 16 years of clinical experience across both countries. She loves helping women towards feeling like their best selves and she is passionate about integrating this one aspect of the world of holistic self care: giving yourself the permission to take care of yourself and to feel radiant. 

She is particularly interested in providing therapeutic Botox treatment for chronic migraines, TMJ dysfunction (jaw clenching) and hyperhidrosis of the axilla (excessive sweating under the arms), and has seen how life-changing this can be for patients who have to struggle with these issues. Learning more about how our minds and bodies are so connected is one of her passions, and this is one way in which she can help someone to feel better in their body, so that they can have more freedom and capacity to focus on and enjoy the important things in life.

​Outside of work life she is (trying her best to be) an adventurous mom of two young and energetic kids, an avid reader, an explorer of destinations, a lover of yoga and great dining experiences.
